Krystal is a Ph.D candidate in the Department of Health Promotion, Education and Behavior at the University of South Carolina-Arnold School of Public Health, USA. Her research interests are in the global nutrition transition, food environments, food choices, and non-communicable diseases. Krystal holds a B.S. in Molecular and Cell Biology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and an M.P.H. in Environmental Health Sciences from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities. Prior to beginning her Ph.D. studies, Krystal worked on public health projects with various governmental and non-governmental organizations in both Zambia and India. In her spare time, Krystal enjoys traveling, cooking, hiking, biking, and learning new languages.
